THE TREJO FOSTER FOUNDATION INSTITUTE TO BE HELD IN MEXICO FOR THE FIRST TIME

The Trejo Foster Foundation for Hispanic Library Education (TFF) and the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH) are pleased to announce the IX Trejo Foster Foundation Institute “Education and Library Services: Connecting Frontiers” to be held in Chihuahua, Mexico, on October 5-6, 2012.  The conference goal is to identify strategies and proposals to improve library and information services to Latinos living in the U.S. and Canada.

Traditionally, the TFF Institute is held in a different U.S. city every other year.  This is the first time that this Institute will be held outside of the U.S.  The beautiful and historic City of Chihuahua, Mexico, has the honor of hosting the event in conjunction with the Autonomous University of Chihuahua and other important local institutions.  Don’t miss this exciting international conference.  We warmly invite you to join us for this adventure.

Conference themes will include:

  • Bridging the role of libraries across international borders.
  • Transnational information services for Latino populations.
  • Role of libraries in public education.
  • Multicultural education and libraries.
  • Strategies and practices for improving International cooperation.
